Financial Planning

Our financial plans create a “roadmap” to achieving one’s goals and objectives.  Financial planning gives our
clients piece of mind that their financial futures will be secure and best of all the initial plan is provided
free of
cost!

The Process

We develop a financial plan based on your unique goals and constraints. This plan covers some or all of the
following areas: (a) income, expenses, savings, budgets, personal debt; (b) assets, liabilities and net worth;
(c) insurance; (d) education; (e) taxes; (f) retirement; (g) investments; and (h) estates. As part of the process,
we gather information about you, analyze your particular situation and develop recommendations. We then
create the plan and present it to you. Once you sign off on it, we assist in the implementation.  To view a

Working with you, we discuss our approach to markets, develop a detailed investment objective, agree on
ways to objectively measure performance, allocate assets and design a personalized portfolio. This phase
culminates in the development of an Investment Policy Statement (IPS) that summarizes the policies and
procedures we have agreed upon with you and serves as a blueprint for future investment decisions. Once you
approve the IPS, we enter the second phase: implementing the policy by buying, selling and transferring
assets. The last phase, post-implementation, is an ongoing effort: we monitor and periodically report on the
investments, review the portfolio with you and revise it to account for changes in markets and your situation.

If you find yourself saying any of the following, then a Guardian Investment financial plan can help:

I want a better return on my investments.

Our Reply: We are able to examine where your money is now and offer alternatives that may help you optimize
returns for your level of risk.

I don’t mind paying taxes, but I want to keep more of my money for me.

Our Reply:  There are several ways you can save money on taxes, from tax-deferred to tax-free investments to
deductions and credits you may not be aware of.  Your planner can work with you and your tax advisor to point
out any advantages you may be able to take.

I want to be able to afford the best education possible for my children.

Our Reply: It’s never too early to start saving for your child’s education.  Not only can we recommend the
appropriate investments, we can also show you savings vehicles that may be tax advantaged.

I don’t want to worry about running out of money during my retirement.

Our Reply: Making the right investment choices now is just part of the story.  We can show you how, when
you’re ready to retire, those investments should be properly allocated.

I want to retire comfortable at age "X".

Our Reply: With the right guidance it just may be possible.  Depending on your particular financial situation,
with the appropriate investment vehicle and right use of tax advantages, you just may be able to retire at age "X".

I want to keep control of my decisions when I retire.

Our Reply: Keeping this type of control will require you to prepare now.   Guardian Investment will work with you
to show you how to have enough money, how to pay for long-term care, should you need it, and, working with
your attorney, showing you the legal documents you’ll need for your health and financial decisions to come to
fruition.

I want to maintain a certain lifestyle when I retire.

Our Reply: We can show you how you can appropriately invest for a comfortable retirement.

When it comes to my investments, I want to know that I am "on track."

Our Reply: Your Guardian Investment Management Advisor can work with you to develop and implement an
investment strategy that best fits your needs, including your tolerance for risk and time-frame.

When the time comes, I want to make sure that my money and my things go where I want them to go.

Our Reply: A will is important when it comes to the disposition of your property.  But, a will may not be enough.
There are tools you can use, such as trusts, to ensure that the decisions you make now are carried out later.
We will work with you and your attorney to develop a comprehensive strategy that will make sure your things do
get to where you want them to go and that your heirs get a greater share than Estate Taxes.

I want “X” for “X” by “X.”

Our Reply: If you’re like most people, you have a set of goals that are unique to you.  You may want  $40,000 for
a boat in 10 years.  Guardian Investment Management can give you the guidance you need to reach that
special goal.

I want to make sure that my family is financially protected should something happen to me.

Our Reply: Perhaps one of the more compassionate and important goals you may have.  Determining the
appropriate insurance coverage for both your life and the possibility of a disability is critical to any plan.
